Launch Class - Intro to Pilates

New to Pilates? You’re in the right spot! In this 75 minute class, you will begin to learn just how Pilates is unlike any other form of exercise. We will introduce you to the Reformer, Mat, our unique movement vocabulary, and how the principles of Pilates-concentration, control, center, breath, position, and fluidity- are incorporated into every movement. You learn how to be in charge of your Reformer, how to incorporate a particular breath pattern, and begin to unpack the unique way one moves in a Pilates practice. This class will prepare you to understand optimal alignment and build a firm foundation in which you can build a solid Pilates practice that allows you to get the most out of every session.

LEVEL 1 PILATES Reformer

If you are new to Pilates equipment or would like a refresher of the fundamentals, this is a great place to start. We will walk you through the equipment lingo, fundamentals, technique, precision, control and breath while making sure you get a great workout. It is important that you learn the proper function and form before advancing your practice.

LEVEL 2 PILATES Reformer

Have you been coming to Pilates classes consistently for a few months? Ready to move a little faster and deepen your connections? Then Level 2 is for you.

Pilates is known for it's amazing ability to strengthen your mind and core, improve back stability and create a long, supple body. You will move through a system of challenging exercises lying face down, face up, sitting and standing on the reformer while working with spring loaded weight and props.

 

LEVEL 3 PILATES Reformer

Significant previous Pilates equipment experience is required. Pilates is known for it's amazing ability to strengthen your mind and core, improve back stability and create a long, supple body. You will move through a system of challenging exercises lying face down, face up, sitting and standing on the reformer while working with spring loaded weight and props.

 

Balance + mobility reformer

An appropriate class for students Level 2+. Should have some experience on Reformer Pilates, but the class will meet you where you are. In this class we will begin with a typical Reformer warm up, incorporating slightly more of a focus on stretching and mobility. Then class will progress to more challenging balance and flexibility exercises, working up towards the Standing Split Series from Classical Reformer Pilates, or modifications of. This class will challenge your center, coordination and balance and leave you feeling nice and stretched!

Tower Foundations

A slower-paced class focused on fundamental exercises using the Tower of Power system on our Allegro 2 Reformers. Ideal for those new to Pilates or new to Tower equipment specifically. Expect clear instruction, thoughtful transitions, and a supportive environment to explore the core principles of Tower work.

Pilates Reformer + Tower

We recommend beginners take a few Level 1 and Open Level classes first. Challenge your strength, coordination, and stability in this dynamic, open-level Combo Chair class. Modifications and progressions will be offered to meet you where you are. This class is best suited for clients with prior Pilates Chair experience.

Pilates Chair + Reformer

Play with layering movements in this athletic Chair + Reformer workout! Learn variations of the same movements on the Reformer and Exo Chair so you can find connections to each exercise. This is a great class for those looking for more variety in their equipment workout.

Pilates JUMPBOARD

All levels welcome, although we recommend beginners take a few Level 1 classes first. Pilates Jumpboard is a high intensity cardio-based Pilates Reformer exercise that simulates running and jumping without stressing your joints. This class will get you into your target heart rate zone! A great cardio workout option for those who have physical restrictions that prevent them from high impact exercise. 

Open Level MIXED PILATES EQUIPMENT

All levels welcome, although we recommend beginners take a few Level 1 classes first. Pilates is known for its amazing ability to strengthen your mind and core, improve back stability and create a long, lean, supple body. You will move through a system of challenging exercises lying face down, face up, sitting and standing on the reformer while working with spring loaded weight and props.

Pilates chair Foundations

An approachable introduction to the Pilates Combo Chair, this class focuses on balance, control, and core strength using springs and bodyweight resistance. Designed for those familiar with Pilates but newer to Chair, or anyone looking to refine their technique on this compact, powerhouse apparatus.

Pilates chair

We recommend beginners take a few Level 1 and Open Level classes first. Challenge your strength, coordination, and stability in this dynamic, open-level Combo Chair class. Modifications and progressions will be offered to meet you where you are. This class is best suited for clients with prior Pilates Chair experience.

 

Helpful tips

Pilates equipment studio classes are designed for varying levels from beginner to advanced, or open level as noted below. Capacity is 6 students max. 

Level 1: Beginner

Level 2: Intermediate

Level 3: Advanced

Open Level: All welcome

Please note that we highly encourage pregnant women who are past their first trimester to attend our dedicated prenatal Pilates classes or private/duet sessions only.

PILATES MAT Foundations

This class is great for students new to Pilates Mat, or anyone looking for a more modified Pilates Mat workout! Pilates Mat is a full body workout that challenges the core through balance, strength and flexibility. This class is a challenging yet safe way to add increased agility into your every day movements.

OPEN LEVEL PILATES MAT

All levels welcome. Pilates Mat is a full-body workout that challenges the core through balance, strength, and flexibility. This class is a challenging yet safe way to add increased agility into your everyday movements. Exercises will be performed on a yoga mat with a variety of props such as balls, bands, and magic circles for resistance and support. 

 

Advanced PILATES MAT

An appropriate mat class for Level 2 and up! All levels welcome. We will go through more classical Pilates Mat repertoire, which is challenging and offers less modifications. Students will be asked to do inversions and roll overs, so clients with shoulder or neck injuries should not take this class, or be able to modify on their own.

PILATES MAT Sculpt

Pilates Mat Sculpt will be an amped up version of Mat Pilates! Building and going beyond classical mat, this class will move at a quicker pace, with elements of cardio and athletic conditioning. This class will get your heart rate up and your core burning!

PILATES “Reformer on MAT”

Pilates Reformer on Mat is a full-body workout that challenges the core through balance, strength, and flexibility. This class is a challenging yet safe way to add increased agility into your everyday movements. Exercises will be performed on a yoga mat with a variety of props such as balls, bands, and magic circles for resistance and support.

PILATES MAT with Props

Pilates Mat is a full body workout that challenges the core through balance, strength and flexibility. This class is a challenging yet safe way to add increased agility into your every day movements. Our instructors will teach modifications to meet you on your level. Our classes are small at 12 clients max. This allows our instructors to really focus on individuals to ensure you're practicing safely and at your own pace.

BARRE-less SCULPT

Barre-less Sculpt mixes elements of Pilates mat, ballet, and functional training. Each move is choreographed to fun motivating music. In this Pilates based energizing and targeted class, you'll use traditional barre moves (without the barre) and equipment such as balls and bands to sculpt, lengthen, stretch, and activate your muscles and core.

BARRE SCULPT

Barre Sculpt mixes elements of Pilates mat, ballet, and functional training. Each move is choreographed to fun motivating music. In this energizing and targeted class, you'll use equipment such as balls, bands, and the Magic Circle to lengthen, stretch, and activate your muscles and core.

Stretch & Strengthen on the Foam Roller

Stretch & Strengthen on the Foam Roller is open to all levels. This class will focus on strengthening and lengthening the entire body through pilates, emphasizing the use of the foam roller. Once the body is warm, we will focus on Myofascial muscle release through foam roller work, joint mobility, and active and passive stretching.  

YOGA Foundations

A class for anyone brand new to the practice or who wants to get back to the basics. We’ll spend time developing foundational poses; beginner friendly meditations; as well as learning how to build both body awareness and connection to breath! You’ll learn ways to adapt yoga to suit your needs and reap all the juicy benefits!

Balanced YOGA

Classes are set at a medium pace in a vinyasa style approach of tying breath to movement while also finding stillness in static posture holds. Each flow is designed to build strength, mental clarity, and increase mobility. Expect equally mindful progressions through physical postures, relaxation, and grounding concentration. All levels are welcome!

Gentle Rise YOGA

A soft and intuitive practice offering soothing movements to mindfully guide students through each pose with slow breath. In uniting breath and movement, students can create a meditative state in the mind while gently releasing long-held tension throughout the body.

candlelight resorative YOGA

This practice allows time for the physical body to rest and relax. Expect gentle and slow movements paired with thoughtful meditations and breathing techniques all aimed at releasing tension within the body. Restorative classes incorporate longer periods of holding poses with the support of blankets, pillows, and other soft props; all of which will be provided to you.

Dynamic Flow YOGA

Start your day with an energizing practice! Classes will begin with a gentle warm up and build to more dynamic, yet mindful, vinyasa flow - matching breath to movement. Options, as well, to try out some more challenging postures, always prioritizing playfulness and exploration.
